A Tale of Two Lakes: Westlake and Sherwood

Westlake Village is aptly named for its two stunning lakes, Westlake and Sherwood which serve as the focal points of the community. Surrounded by upscale homes, shops, and restaurants, Westlake is nestled at the foot of the Santa Monica Mountains straddling both Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.

Westlake Lake serves as an idyllic backdrop for the gorgeous homes that line the shores where most have boat docks and enjoy their own little wine cruises in the evening right outside their back door. The Westlake Yacht Club on the lake’s eastern shore is a hub of activity and community events such as sailing races and regattas and even holiday boat parades and 4th of July fireworks.

Lake Sherwood boasts a private community of over 600 residences in both gated and non gated neighborhoods. Known for its prestigious Sherwood Country Club where its community center is the hub for holiday dinners, kids activities, sports bar for the locals, and its infamous Jack Nicklaus designed golf course.
